Description A large bronze of Jiraiya performing magic on the back of a giant toad.

Jiraiya meaning 'Young Thunder' is the title character of the Japanese Folk tale Jiraiya Gōketsu Monogatari, a very popular story in the mid 1800's. Jiraiya is a ninja, master of toad magic and heir of the Kyūshū clan, he falls in love with Tsunade a maiden who masters slug magic, and must vanquish his enemy Yashagorō the master of serpent magic.
